Loveless Leticia – not so loveless after all

Things are looking up.

So, plot progression is demanded?! I feel the screaming masses who seek some kind of crude twist to my story really don’t appreciate the fact that this is my ACTUAL life. All true.

However, perhaps it is time things were brought up to date, so you can see exactly how well Loveless Leticia is doing in living up to her name. So, there are a few boys in my life at the moment.

To put it like that, though, is the equivalent of claiming that Otley Rugby Club are a big name team. (What? You don’t follow them passionately? You clearly are NOT a true sports fan.) It’s more that these are the boys I know (or don’t really know) who aren’t in a relationship RIGHT NOW and are passably interesting.

My Library Idol: This boy is GORGEOUS. As in, really very good looking. And I see him practically every day. Before I came to Oxford I dreamed of meeting a boy in a library and then having a wonderful romance. That’s awkward for two reasons. 1. It’s true. 2. I have actually met him before. In fact he tried to get with me (ME!!). In probably the most embarrassing turn of events ever, I was so shocked by his actions (and the fact he wasn’t wearing a top. And his incredible body) that my response was somewhere rather wide of normal. I reached my hands to his beautiful torso… and tickled him. TICKLED. My only hope is he was too drunk to remember, but if that’s the case, our only connection is his somewhat grumpy stare and my flush of embarrassment on every library encounter.

Chance of success: a confident 2/10

Mr Finals: I haven’t seen him for weeks. He’s a friend of a friend, and in fact I have a lurking suspicion things between him and that friend might fast be becoming more interesting. Thus somewhat unavailable, but always laughs at all my jokes (SO many plus points), and conversation is never boring: I have a lingering feeling that really he is in love with me and as soon as his exams finish he will pursue me with all the enthusiasm he is currently dedicating to his work (or possibly to my friend).

Chance of success: 4/10 (if not actually having a thing with my friend and once exams are over)

The Sporting God (SG): All girls everywhere are in love with him. He does in fact get with most girls in most places but so far I am not one of those lucky dozens. Persistent efforts unlikely to be rewarded as always occur in the presence of sporting goddesses and other beauties of Oxford.

Chance of success: 0/10

Quite Good Friend: Nice and always good for chat, and I seem to bump into him all the time. Not however convinced there is any feeling to be mutual about.

Chance of success: 2/10

In conclusion, things are not looking too bright in terms of those who I know. There is, however, excitement on the horizon:

Tall, dark and handsome…

Mr Blind Date: I have been coerced into attending my very first First Date. With someone I don’t know. Despite previous lack of success, I am confident this could result in great things.

Chance of success: Predicted 9/10
