Snow falls in Val Thorens but Varsity Trip has been forced to extend booking after tickets didn’t sell out

Varsity Trip has been forced to extend booking availability in a desperate bid to sell tickets.

Organisers would have been forgiven for thinking Oxford would be going weak at the knees even before reaching the slopes – last year’s trip sold out in six hours.

But as The Tab reported last week, demand has failed to meet expectations a year after emergency tickets were released to cope with unprecedented sales.

The deadline was set for 10:00pm on Friday evening but customers could still access the booking site on Monday – more than two weeks after the 3,500 tickets went on sale.

The event is run by Stockport based NUCO Travel Ltd, which was founded this year and describes itself on Facebook as ‘a revolution for the future of snowsports holidays’ and a ‘Winter Operator Extraordinaire’.
