Some of the University of Nottingham accommodations in 2024 are crazy and we know you’re all looking to figure out what hall is going to be best for you. Whether you are looking for that dark academia uni experience, or want to make the most of Nottingham’s famed nightlife, what better way to do it than to compare them to your favourite blockbuster 2024 releases?

1. Broadgate Park and Dagfa House – Deadpool and Wolverine

As the only two self catered halls close to University Park campus, it’s natural there is some sense of rivalry between the two. Despite this, they back onto one another and you cannot help the flat party crossovers and emergency Co-op trips at 10pm. Naturally this means they are Deadpool and Wolverine, there is a comedic friendship between the two but also an underlying sense of annoyance and each hall thinking they’re better than the other.

2. Lincoln Hall – A Quiet Place: Day One

Out of all the University of Nottingham accommodations in 2024, Lincoln Hall is the perfect place for those who prefer a bit of peace and quiet (it has been awarded the Quiet Living Accreditation). This hall is a stone’s throw from Hallward library and the SU, convenient for anyone wanting to focus on their studies. Much like in A Quiet Place: Day One, its best to be as quiet as possible. Be rowdy at your peril and risk the wrath of monstrously stressed uni students…

3. Florence Boot – Mean Girls

After what seemed like a long time, Florence Boot has undergone a refurb and is looking shiny and new, a bit like the new Mean Girls film. Taking a classic and revamping it with old and new actors is Florence Boot core, with the updated interior whilst staying true to Uni Park’s beautiful campus.

4. Sherwood and Rutland Hall – Challengers

Sherwood and Rutland are the closest halls to David Ross Sports Village so naturally is full of sporty students. However, the halls being opposite each other means that there is a constant rivalry, much like our new favourite Zendaya film, Challengers. The sportiness and the competition makes it a perfect fit. As for the other extra-curricular activities in the film – I think that goes on in every hall.

5. St. Peters Court – Mad Max Furiosa

St. Peter’s Court is located nearer to Jubilee campus and is perfect for those looking to live off campus. Much like Anya Taylor-Joy’s Mad Max Furiosa, this accommodation is an exciting and lively – there is always something going on. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and serene, this is definitely not the place for you.

6. Ancaster Hall – Despicable Me 4

Ancaster is a great hall, with many like it across the campus it’s only fair that it gets given the title of Despicable Me 4, with everyone running around like minions and the three halls practically connected to it (Cavendish, Willoughby, and Nightingale) I don’t think I would be concerned if I heard people running through the halls shouting “Bananas”.

7. Cripps Hall – Inside Out 2

With Cripps being one of the biggest accommodations on uni park campus, it’s only fitting that we dedicate it the title of Inside Out 2. With so many people there you have access to every personality and a lot of anxious students. Eventually you all come together and get a new sense of self, a uni identity if you will.
