Nottingham Trent University students evacuated from university buildings after fire alarm

Students were stood outside for twenty minutes

All Nottingham Trent University students were evacuated from university buildings after an unscheduled fire alarm.

A fire alarm went off on NTU’s City Campus on Thursday morning at 10am as lessons were disrupted. No reason was given as to why the alarm went off, but university staff told The Tab Nottingham that it was not a scheduled drill.

Students were stood outside in large numbers in the cold, and the morning’s lessons were put on hold. One student, studying news journalism said: “I don’t know what’s going on. I woke up early for my 10am lecture and now I’m not even in it.”

Students returned to their respective buildings after twenty minutes outside.
