Six cheap flights from East Midlands Airport for some winter sun

A budget-friendly fix for those holiday blues

Summer is by far many students’ favourite time of the year. But just because the sun is gone in England doesn’t mean it’s gone everywhere. As Nottingham students, we are fortunate enough to have an airport that is just a 30-minute drive or an hour on the Skylink. This makes term-time breaks all a lot easier.

With reading week coming up really quick, here are the cheapest flights from East Midlands Airport so you can remedy those holiday blues with some winter sun:

1. Naples, Italy £56

With great transport links and many beaches, Naples gives students the best of both worlds. You can enjoy a scoop of gelato whilst you write your coursework or have authentic Italian pizza on your revision break. Hotels are as cheap as £65pp based on two people sharing and temperatures can get as high as 17°C in November. East Midlands doesn’t often have direct flights to Naples, so these flights do include quite a long stopover but this time can be spent enjoying the nightlife in Milan.
