Breaking: University of Nottingham to face a further five days of strikes before Easter

The strikes will take place from 28th March to 1st April

The University and College Union (UCU) has confirmed that University of Nottingham will be hit with further strike action from Monday 28th March to Friday 1st April.

Lecturers and university staff at University of Nottingham have already been on strike for a total of 10 days last month.

Over 50,000 university staff from 68 universities across the country went on strike in February in a “fight for the future of higher education”.

Now the UCU has announced that those 68 universities will carry out five more consecutive days of strikes in March.

The country wide strike action will take place over a two week period. 39 universities will strike from Monday 21 March to Friday 25 March and the remaining 29 universities will take five days of action from Monday 28 March to Friday 1 April, with UoN being in this later group.

The Tab Notts has contacted University of Nottingham for a statement.
