Funky flares and beanie boys: First edition of Lenton’s Looks

This week’s best dressed

Introducing our new monthly edition, brought to you exclusively by the Tab Notts: Lenton’s Looks. We’ve scoured the streets of Lenton and hiked the hills of University Park Campus in search of the best ‘fits around. Read on for some serious style inspo…

Ruby, Third Year, English

Ruby rocks a funky fit in this halter neck top from CallunaClothing on Etsy. She’s paired it with some slouchy black jeans from Zara and a sleek pony for those catwalk vibes. Not to mention the iconic American Apparel scrunchie for that extra touch. Pictured in one of Nottingham’s grooviest spots, Penny Lane, where she’s making the most of life before lockdown.

Corbain, Third Year, History

Next up is Corbain’s very Instagrammable look. His hoodie is from @anappendage on Instagram, which he’s teamed well with some custom jeans from @paddybatesman. In keeping with the theme, he’s also repping some custom creps from @sadworldco. Posed outside the infamous Newark hall, giving him that extra clout.

Charley, Fourth year, Liberal Arts

Charley looks effortlessly cool in another funky fit (our fave kind). You can’t go wrong with some well-fitted flares. Charley got these super colourful ones from @getcrooked, a handmade clothes store in Notts. Being the sustainable queen she is, Charley grabbed her oversized shirt from thrift store Braderie in Notts. Add some staple Nike air force ones, and you’re sorted with a sick look.

Asher, Third Year, French and Russian

Here we’ve got our token skater boy. Asher’s gone for a common fave, the long sleeve-short sleeve combo. He’s also doing his part with a vintage Champion long sleeve, and a Joyce Manor tour shirt on top. He goes simple on the trousers which are from Dickies and has thrown on some New Balance x Racers to match. In true E-boy style, he pairs with a simple beanie, found at a niche boutique in Paris.

Anushka, Third Year, Creative writing

We’re loving Anushka’s double denim vibe in this next pic, that got snapped at Nottingham’s Slug and Lettuce (will defo be going there asap for that unreal background). Being extra bold, she even adds a two-tone blue denim bag, but it definitely pays off. To get Anushka’s look hit Urban for the jacket, New Look for the Jeans, Topshop for the top and Aldo for the bag.

Zoe, Third Year, Psychology

Last up we’ve got Zoe’s cool but classy look. Posing in her Lenton home (where she’ll be spending every day of the foreseeable future), she’s smashing those angles. Zoe keeps it chilled on top with a black crop from ASOS which she cleverly teams with these very exciting satin trousers from Zara. Finished off with some chunky Fila’s and high socks making for a grungy but pretty look.

We hope you’ve been inspired by this month’s Lenton’s Looks. Next month we want to see your very best lockdown looks so send them through to the Nottingham Tab’s Instagram for a chance to feature!
