One in six Notts students admit they would still throw a house party

Despite the on-going COVID-19 rules and £10k fine

One in six Nottingham students would still throw a house party, despite the new six-person rule and news of a student getting fined £10,000 for throwing a Lenton party, a poll on The Nottingham Tab’s Instagram has revealed.

Out of more than 2000 people who responded to our poll, 16 per cent admitted that they would still throw a house party, while 84 per cent said they would not.

This comes only days after a Notts student was issued a £10,000 fine for breaking the rules and throwing a house party with over 50 people in Lenton.

The University of Nottingham have also issued a statement informing students that anyone who breaks the rules are subject to, “fines of up to £1,500, suspension or exclusion.”
