Everyone's favourite club in Nottingham, Rock City, which has been operating since 1980, has been awarded the Best Major Club award at the Live Music Business Awards last Thursday.

The Live Music Business Awards recognise excellence and talent across the UK music industry to celebrate the very best promoters, venue operators, festival organisers and agents, through to artist managers, tour managers, show producers, brand impact and record label partnerships.

DHP Family, the operating company who own Rock City, Rescue Rooms, Stealth and the Bodega, also won Promoter of the Year at the awards ceremony.

Rock City's general manager Will Richardson said: “As we’re getting ready to celebrate our 40th next year, it’s great to win this award. We’re delighted all our hard work is paying off as we continue to go from strength to strength building on the venue’s amazing legacy and bringing in new audiences all the time too.”
