Three people stabbed in Lenton this morning

Three people were stabbed in Lenton in the early hours of this morning, police have reported.

The knife attack happened at around 4.30am today on Lenton Boulevard with nobody being arrested. The three victims, two men aged 20 and 21 and a woman, have been taken to hospital.

The street has been shut by Nottinghamshire Police between Ilkeston Road and Derby Road.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police told the Nottingham Post that: “Nottinghamshire Police were called to Lenton Boulevard at approximately 4.30am on October 22.

“Three people attended hospital with knife injuries which were not believed to be serious. Police believe this is an isolated incident. The road is currently closed between the Ilkeston Road and Derby Road junctions while officers carry out investigations.”

The attack follows Nottinghamshire being recorded as the fifth highest knife possession rate in England and Wales last year.
