Ballin’ in the basement: Campus style hits Trent Café

Eating a panini never looked so stylish

Campus Style went to Trent Café this week to catch up with fashionable lunch-goers.

Sporting bright knitwear and sleek all-black looks you guys are proving as stylish as ever  even while digging into a spot of nosh.

Emma Harpham, Fresher, German and Dutch, H&M bag

Emma handles the transition from winter to spring wardrobe with ease.

This classic black outfit with a pop of emerald  we’re particularly loving the knee high socks.

Hannah Campbell, Fresher, German and Dutch, Topshop dress

Hannah’s bright checked Topshop dress stood out to us instantly: it even co-ordinates with her fab glasses.

The double Peter Pan collar and matching navy cuffs keep this outfit cute for a busy day at lectures, paired with tights this dress keeps the chill away too.

Alice Reed, Fresher, Geography, Topshop jumper

Alice oozes casual cool in her roll neck oatmeal jumper and jeans combo.

Her red trainers brighten up the outfit as well as being practical footwear choice for on the go.

Kate Hunter, 2nd year, English, New Look skirt

Pastels are back.

Kate shows us how to rock pastels in this iffy weather by layering up a bang on trend turtle neck, a pair of tights and boots with this mint green New Look bodycon.

Lewis Edmonds, Fresher, Chemistry, Next jacket

The lads in Trent Café are looking just as good as the ladies in black on black.

Lewis mixes this casual look up with a leather bomber and classic burgundy converse.

Emily Sherlane, Fresher, Management with Spanish, Jumper vintage from mum

We adore Emily’s jumper, in fact we would get one for ourselves but it’s vintage.

Emily pairs brights with camel lace up boots and jeans for a look that is wearable yet fun.

Raphala Ring, 2nd year, Economics, Charity shop cardigan

Raphala is a girl after our own hearts when it comes to the art of layering  we want it all.

Her funky cardi sets this outfit off and shows that you can hunt down lovely knitwear for the nippy weather in charity shops.

Laura Waterhouse, 4th year, Modern Foreign Languages, Accessorize scarf

Laura’s outfit is cute and effortless.

Her patterned scarf shows us that accessories really can make an outfit and her jacket and boots look great too.

Alex Edwards, 4th year, Mechanical Engineering, Jumper from Urban Outfitters

We’re pretty sure Alex is wearing the same jacket as Lewis the more leather the better in our eyes.

Jeans, jumper (this one is from Urban Outfitters) and grey trainers are a great combination for a put-together look.

Estrella, 3rd year, Business Management, shoes from China

It may be March, but that’s no excuse to put away the knitwear, ladies.

Pair chunky jumpers with jeans and statement shoes to get Estrella’s look.

Alice Simpson, Fresher Mangement and Spanish, Zara jacket

When in doubt go back to black.

We love Alice’s look because it’s simple yet stylish, her shearling collar is a cosy addition to this sleek take on all black.

Ellen Pearce-Langton, 4th year, French and German, Top from Topshop

Ellen’s lace Topshop top is on our wishlist  it’s Gothic and fab and we want it.

Pair lace with with simple accessories to steal Ellen’s style.

Freya Durham, Fresher, History, scarf from Morocco

Freya’s café-ready style is fresh and easy.

Her denim jacket, stripes and paisley scarf combine key trends while her yellow bag brings some spring colour to her attire. Staple beaten up Converse complete the look.
