Tragic victim of city centre murder named

The 19 year old was a local boxing champion


A man who died after a fight in Nottingham city centre has been named as Joshua Bradley. 

Bradley was killed after a fight in Thurland Street just before 4am on Sunday morning.

Bradley was from Bulwell and was a boxing champion.

The head coach of Bilborough Community Amateur Boxing Club, Ray Ricketts told the Nottingham Post about his shock of hearing about the death of Bradley, who he had known since he was seven years old.

He said: “He was one of the nicest young men from Bilborough you could ever meet.”

Seven people have been arrested in connection with his death.

Four men, aged 28, 24, and two 22-year-olds, remain in police custody on suspicion of murder.

A 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of affray have been released on bail. A 23-year-old man has been bailed after he was arrested on suspicion of murder.

The police have continued to search throughout today in Thurland Street but cordons have now been lifted.
