Semester to semester… Tinie Tempah’s surprise gig at Trent SU

Rapper drops in on unsuspecting Trent students. Nobody passed out…

Tinie Tempah played a surprise gig earlier today at Nottingham Trent’s Student Union to a packed crowd.

After an earlier showing in Leeds, Tinie took to the stage at around 4pm to an unsuspecting crowd of Trent students.

He admitted it’s all part of his wish to “rave with the freshers”, regrettably admitting he’s never been able to do it. He’s travelling to his favourite uni’s promoting his new album Demonstration.

Laura Dobson (left) and friend Jen (right), 1st year fine art students, were just going back to their flat when they noticed the crowd…

First year fine art student Jem told the Tab she was “really surprised but couldn’t see anything! It sounds good though!”

The rapper was not set to play at The Den however, much to the annoyance of UoN students.

Tinie played a half hour set of his most popular songs, including Frisky, Earthquake, Written In The Stars, Pass out and new single Trampoline.
