Trent Are Catching Up

Gap between Trent and UoN drops to only 38 places.

Trent have gained 20 places on the University of Nottingham in The Times Good University guide.

Nottingham University has dropped three places to 23rd while Trent have  jumped up 17 places to 61st.

Globally, UoN has dropped three places from 72nd to 75th, while Trent is so low it isn’t even ranked.

Floundering in mid-table

Student Satisfaction at Nottingham University is a disappointing 81.9% – 52nd in the country. Although, it can’t be all that bad as 94% of students complete their degrees, which is the 17th highest nationally.

Clearly Chemical Engineering are doing something wrong, as their student satisfaction is only 66.9%, which is practically rock bottom compared to Veterinary Medicine’s 91.9% – who knew sticking your hand up a horse’s arse could provide 91.9% satisfaction?

It’s going well over at Sutton Bonington as Nottingham was top in the country for studying Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture & Forestry courses.

Despite the crazy £9000 fees, Nottingham is more popular than ever with over 52,000 UCAS applications, second only to Manchester.

Aside from the usual names at the top of the table, the big winners of the 2013 Rankings were Northampton, who moved from 99th to 59th. It’s been a particularly bad year for Aberystwyth though, as they fell 35 places from 47th to 82nd.
