Nottingham has dropped three places in the world university rankings, but still ranks in the world’s top 1%.

Today’s QS World University Rankings has placed us at 75th in the world, alongside Tohoku University in Japan.

UoN’s closest rivals are Sheffield – who came 71st – and the University of St Andrews, who sit in 83rd.

Despite the slip down the table, The Sunday Times has described Notts as “one of the first to embrace a truly international approach to higher education” and we have been placed in the UK’s top 10.

MIT topped the rankings again, with third-placed Cambridge the highest placed Uni in the UK.
