Cone here often?

Eight students stopped traffic on Maid Marian Way yesterday.

It was a rainy Thursday afternoon and traffic was piling up on Maid Marian Way. So far, so ordinary.

So imagine the chaos when eight students descended onto the busy road dressed as traffic cones.

Stopping traffic

At around 5.30pm yesterday, a group of traffic-hungry lads made their way into the middle of the busy road and stood in a line until oncoming traffic stopped.

They then walked over to a nearby bus shelter and made their way home.

Following the highway cone

“The waiting traffic wasn’t even mad,” said The Tab’s on-site reporter Laura Breen, who claims the stunt was carried out “for the sheer hell of it.”

“It definitely brightened up our day,” she added.
