The Christmas Party
Autumn/ Winter 2012’s baroque style, with its gold patterning and intricate embellishments, is perfect for a formal Christmas occasion. Look gorgeously opulent whilst still being able to afford Christmas presents!
A simple and inexpensive way to take on the trend is to embellish a simple piece with ornate accessories. An afternoon walk in the crisp December air is a lovely way to spend Boxing Day when experiencing that familiar post-party feeling of a little too much food and wine! For inspiration, consider this season’s British heritage trend as is exemplified by Burberry– it’s practical for the outdoors whilst looking classy too! A checked blazer or quilted jacket will keep out the cold and team with a polished pair of leather riding boots or tote bag to complete the look. A natural palette works best with earthy brown tones, khaki greens and autumnal yellows.
