Norwich is officially one of the best places to live in the UK

Obvs we already knew this though

Norwich remains one of the best places to live in the UK, according a study published by The Sunday Times this week.

Despite no consideration of our crown jewels (our nightclubs or our takeaways), Noz only missed out to Chelmsford as the best place to live in the East of England.

The article heaped plenty of praise on our fine city, saying:

"A firm fixture on our list, this compact city honours its pre-industrial glory days while embracing arty, urban cool: whisper it, but some are calling Norwich the new Notting Hill… it has a youthful population (the median age is 33.7, compared with 40 nationally), two universities and some of the most affordable property prices in the UK.

"In the Norwich Lanes, a beguiling web of cobbled streets that contains shops, restaurants, bars, a theatre and galleries, you’re as likely to find day-trippers browsing the vintage rails as bearded hipsters sipping vegan cocktails. It’s times to move on from the Alan Partridge jibes".
