UEA SU announces new Lucky Voice Karaoke Room

Now you can sing Les Mis publically without being judged

It now seems the Loft will be facing some competition when it comes to best Norwich venue for Karaoke as it has been announced that the Union will be opening their own Karaoke room.

The Union will be opening up what is currently Green room as a private room for said Karaoke. The room will be available to use Monday to Sunday on any day when Green room is not booked for a gig, it will be a maximum of 15 people per booking.

The ever popular Loft has always been the first place for Karaoke.

The opening time are: Midday – Midnight (Bar Opening Times/Excluding Club Nights). Commenting on the development, SU Campaigns and Democracy Officer Jack Robinson said

“Last year a bunch of students researched what was being provided in SUs around the world that we weren’t- and given we haven’t got space for a bowling alley, #1 on the missing list was private room Karaoke. We’ve reused furniture and drapes to keep the costs low, and gone with #LuckyVoice to maximise the number of songs available in different languages given UEA’s global student population.

“There’s loads more tweaks, ideas and changes coming to our services this year that have been suggested by students, and if any student has a bright idea for anything the SU does, I’d encourage them to get in touch”
