Vigil to be held in square to honour the victims of the Manchester attack

People are being invited to get in touch if they want to say a few words

The entire world was shocked yesterday morning to hear of the tragic news that a  terror attack in Manchester Arena killed 22 people and wounded many more after an Ariana Grande concert.

Eleanor Johns; Jack Robinson; Emily Cutler; Jeffrey Almond; Sophie Hartley and James Barker came together to organise a vigil in the square to honor the victims of this horrific crime.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.

Eleanor told us: “A few of us came together and decided to organise a vigil as we wished to pay our respects to the victims and show support for the people of Manchester at this time, and want others to be able to do so. Manchester is a wonderful city and is close to many of us, we want to show that we are united.”

The vigil is being held today at 5pm in The Square, where you can turn up to show your respects and show solidarity with the rest of the UK, spreading love and hope in this time of confusion and sadness.

You can find the facebook event here.
