BassJam is returning to the LCR

Let’s get lit

East Anglia’s biggest reggae party is back, with BassJam returning to the LCR on December 2nd, with a line-up featuring The Skints, Trojan Sound System, Born on Road, and Norwich’s own Rebel Lion.

Speaking of the upcoming event, organiser Jacob Oblivion said “BassJam takes elements of everything we love in the world of music and jumbles it into one big bubbling hotpot of festival-esque fun.

“You can expect imaginative bespoke décor and lighting, thunderous weighty sound systems, top artists, bands and DJs from around the world and an atmosphere unlike anything you will have experienced before.”

The last BassJam event, held in April, was organised jointly by Outlook Festival and saw names such as David Rodigan, P Money, Ed Solo and Mungo’s Hifi grace the LCR stage to an audience of 1200 bass music enthusiasts.

The event spawned in 2o12 from a night called ‘Warrior’s Dance’ held at the now defunct Mustard nightclub, with BassJam taking over Carnival and Hideout nightclubs for three rooms of jungle, reggae and live ska. Since then, the event has gone from strength to strength, having thrown parties alongside the likes of Outlook Festival, Symmetry Festival and Boombap Festival.

BassJam prides’ itself on it’s ‘No Drugs In Clubs’ campaign, aiming to show people that illegal substances aren’t required to have a great night.

Oblivion said “We believe by creating the right atmosphere we can give people the best, most memorable events they will have ever attended without taking anything they shouldn’t”.

Tickets for the event are available now and priced at £17.50 or £15 for those with an NUS card.
