Edu-moan: Wi-Fi crashes on campus

Stay home if you want to do anything productive

Stressed library-goers are enduring yet ANOTHER internet crash with the eduroam across campus going down this morning.

Panic is mounting as deadlines loom with no way to access Turnitin or print essays from the defunct wireless printers across UEA.

And third years especially are furious with the second internet black-out in just a few weeks. Politics finalist Guy Gorman-Powell said: “I came all the way to uni to do my dissertation and now I can’t do it.

“It’s a waste of my time and it means I’ll be behind on my deadlines. I should have stayed at home, but I thought I would get more done in the library.”

History and Politics finalist Maisie Tipper: “Having no internet is the worst thing ever.”

And it gets worse. Although maintenance was planned between nine and 10am, UEA’s website details another maintenance scheduled for this afternoon 2-3pm, even though the Wi-Fi is still down.

We may be regressed to using the books in the library.
