KAOS fashion show: Meet the models

They’re all so gorgeous

It’s that time of the year again – KAOS are back with their annual fashion show, flaunting everything from GAP to Ann Summers.

This year’s event will take place on Sunday 15th February, with profits to be split between three charities: two “New Home” orphanages based in Kenya and Cambodia, and “Khandel Light”, a group dedicated to improving women and children’s health in India.

So, prepare to feast your eyes on the gorgeous models who have volunteered to strut their stuff in the name of charity…

Amy, third year Medic

What’s she modelling?

Technically Amy isn’t a model. She’s the President of KAOS and says she would never model herself. Instead, she ropes in all her friends to do it for her.

Hobbies

Travelling and volunteering. Last summer she went to the children’s home in Kenya that the fashion show is funding this year.

Interesting fact

She can run in those really cool bouncing boots.

Evie, third year International Development

What’s she modelling?

Ann Summers. What a brave, brave girl…

This is Evie’s first time modelling in the show as well. She’s worked backstage in previous years and is Publicity Officer of KAOS.

Hobbies

Cooking, travelling, and running – through she can’t say running because “her friends will take the piss out of her”.

Interesting fact

She’s slightly obsessed with her cat Moo.

Luke, third year Medic

What’s he modelling?

Luke modelled last year and he’s back for another go. This year he’ll be showcasing Fatface and Retreat Vintage.

Hobbies

Luke enjoys playing badminton and squash.

Interesting fact

He can speak Thai.

Saraswati, second year Film & English

What’s she modelling?

Saraswati is modelling Fatface.

As well as looking gorgeous on the catwalk, Saraswati will be taking part in the Indian Society’s feature.

Saraswati modelled for the show last year too and claims to not be nervous whatsoever (I saw her practising her strut and she looks like a seasoned professional).

Hobbies

Saraswati loves dance and football. Plus she’s got a deep side – she likes writing poetry.

Interesting fact

“I can do the splits!”

Harvey, third year Meteorology & Oceanography

What’s he modelling?

This is Harvey’s first year modelling in the show (bless him, he looked a little bit nervous…) and he’s modelling Fatface alongside Luke and Saraswati.

Hobbies

Harvey plays badminton. He also enjoys photography, travelling and running.

Interesting fact

He can speak three languages: Italian, Spanish and English. A man of many talents.

Sama, foundation Film & TV

What’s she modelling?

This year Sama’s modelling Fatface. Although it’s her first year doing the fashion show, she says she’s really been enjoying rehearsals and can’t wait to get out there. ‘Atta girl!

Hobbies

Sama enjoys playing volleyball, swimming, and film-editing for her dad’s theatre company.

Interesting fact

She’s scared of taking baths.

Laura

What’s she modelling?

Laura’s not technically a student at UEA, but has been helping out with the show for the past six years.

This year she’s directing choreography, as well as modelling Ann Summers and New Look swimwear. (AGAIN. So, so brave…)

Hobbies

Laura likes swimming and cycling.

Interesting fact

It will actually be Laura’s birthday on the day of the show (this Sunday) and she’ll be turning 27! She doesn’t look a day over graduating…

Nneoma, third year Pharmacy

What’s she modelling?

This year Nneoma’s modelling Fatface, as well as featuring in the African Carribean Society’s performances.

Hobbies

She loves to dance: “African, Step, Hip-Hop, anything!”

Interesting fact

Apparently her interesting fact is that she doesn’t have an interesting fact? Hmmm…

The show will take place on February 15th in the LCR, with tickets still available to buy from the Box Office or on the door.
