Cyclist involved in serious accident near Norwich hospital
Police are instructing people to avoid Watton Road
Maisie Anteney-TipperPolice are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was knocked off their bike
Police and ambulances were called to Watton Road, just off Earlham Road, after a “serious incident” involving a cyclist.
The accident is believed to have taken place at the traffic lights between the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and the Spire Hospital.
Emergency services were called to the scene 3:15pm and stayed for at least an hour.

Police confirmed that a cyclist had “fallen from their bike”.
The accident has resulted in multiple road closures.
The public is being advised to stay away from the area and buses have been redirected.
Police are currently appealing for witnesses who might be able to shed some light on how the accident happened.
