A police dive unit was sighted at the lakeside today as part of the continued search for a missing woman from Cringleford.

At approximately 11:30am today a body was discovered at another nearby lake and the dive unit left campus at approximately 13:45pm.

A police dive unit was deployed

Over the past two days, library-goers at UEA have been witness to several large police vehicles coming and going from the lakeside. The Tab has learned that these vehicles were part of an operation to search for a woman who was reported missing from Cringleford. The police dive unit operated alongside helicopters in a combined search effort.

A search and rescue boat on the lake

The area was cordoned off temporarily to allow access to the lake via boat, but no disruption was caused to campus life. It is believed that the UEA Lake yielded no results despite a thorough search, although a body has now been discovered at Whitlingham Little Broad on the other side of the city.

The unit left campus at approximately 13:45

The Tab will keep its readers updated if there are any further developments.
