Could YOU edit The Tab?

Applications for Chief Editor and Deputy Editor are now OPEN!

Have you got what it takes to bring the best UEA news and features to 25,000 readers a month?

The Tab are recruiting for next year’s senior editing team! We are looking for up to two Chief Editors, plus a Deputy Editor/Social Media manager.

If you are a current first or second year wanting to increase your experience in journalism, this is the role for you! We are part of the largest student media group in the country and you will receive training and support from professional journalists throughout your time as editor.

The Tab this year has proved itself a force to be reckoned with. We have broken nearly all of the biggest stories to hit campus including The Sun boycott, the banning of non-students in the LCR and the robbery in the Hive.

We have also produced some great features- including full coverage of the KAOS fashion show, an interview with the Fetish Society and a three-day live blog covering Livewire’s Jailbreak!

The highlight of being Chief Editor- covering Jailbreak! (with the first team who came back, and Kate Marks, Jailbreak co-ordinator)

Could you help us become bigger and better? We’re looking for students who are organised, passionate about relevant student journalism, and who always have their ears out for a good story.

We have the best socials too!

No experience necessary, although a demonstrable interest in writing and journalism is useful. You don’t just have to be a wannabe journalist- this role would suit anyone interested in a career in Communications, PR, Marketing or Social Media. You will learn essential leadership skills, and for the first semester of your time as Editor will have full training and support from the current editorial team.
