Tab Survey: Union Of UEA Students- Are You Being Heard?

The Tab wants YOUR help in finding out if democracy is working at UEA.

| UPDATED democracy sun boycott survey tab uueas

Since the start of semester, controversial decision after controversial decision has been made by the Union in all students’ names.

From the barring of non-students from the LCR to last night’s boycott of The Sun, it seems not a week has gone by without strong discussion and heavy debate over the choices being made.

The Union exists for us all, and it works for us all- but questions have been raised as to whether they are effectively representing us as a whole.

Some believe the Union’s democracy works brilliantly, others are angry and upset at the events of this semester so far.

Is your voice being heard?

As an independently run, non-Union-affiliated news site, The Tab believe that all students have the right to be heard on campus, by their Council reps and by their Union Officers, and we want to know if this is happening.

Please fill out oursurvey  to help us. The results of the survey will, we hope, provide a balanced reflection on Union representation this year.

If you’ve cheered on Union decisions, if you’ve angrily lashed out over Twitter against them, if you’re best mates with the Student Officers, if you couldn’t name a single one of them-fill out the survey, and let’s try to understand whether democracy is working at UEA.

All results are confidential and you will not be asked for your name.
