Police are calling for witnesses after a man was attacked outside the LCR.

The attack took place at about 1.30am on Sunday June 2.

A man in his early 20s was on the smoking terrace talking to two women when he was approached by another man.

After words were exchanged, the victim was threatened by the man, and walked away with the two women towards the other side of the terrace near the steps.

The alleged attacker followed him and punched him, causing him to fall down the steps. The victim suffered several broken bones in his face.

Police describe the attacker as as white, 6ft 3 ins tall and wearing a red gilet. He is also said to be of Eastern European origin.
