The first chief editor of official UEA newspaper Concrete, Polly Graham, has been arrested in the ongoing phone-hacking investigation on suspicion of ‘conspiring to intercept telephone voicemails.’

The police stated that: “This suspected conspiracy is believed to have taken place primarily during 2005 to 2006.

“It is separate from the alleged conspiracy already being investigated by Operation Weeting in which a number of people have been charged.”

Graham was arrested with five other journalists, all of whom have now been released on bail.

Since graduating from UEA, Graham has enjoyed a career writing for tabloids, including running The Daily Mirror’s notorious 3AM column. She was also a Showbusiness Reporter for the News of The World, which closed amidst the phone-hacking scandal last year.

Graham held the illustrious position of Concrete chief editor from 1992–1993, its first year of publication.
