Three arrests have been made after an attack on a man in December, with two of the attackers dressed as Oompa-Loompas.

The victim was allegedly assaulted by a group of four, between 3.20am and 3.30am on December 27. Two of the men were wearing costumes inspired by Roald Dahl’s ‘Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’.

There is no suggestion it was any of these cheeky chaps

Police said the victim, a 28-year-old man, was hit several times, and knocked to the ground. He suffered a cut to his right eye, two black eyes, and a cut nose and cheek.

Predictably, the Oompa-Loompa costumes consisted of hooded tops, dyed green hair and painted orange faces.

A spokesman for Norfolk Constabulary said: “Two men in their late teens and one man in his early 20s, all from the North Walsham area, were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of GBH”.

The men are currently released on bail until March.
