It’s official: Northumbria uni backs Labour

Milibae for the win

Ed Miliband will toast us from one of his two London kitchens tonight as our survey reveals Northumbria is going to vote Labour.

Yesterday we asked you who you’d be voting for in the General Election tomorrow — and 36 per cent of you are backing Ed’s bid for Number 10.

Flagging behind at 32 per cent were the Conservatives and at 14 per cent, the Greens.

Meanwhile the Lib Dems and UKIP are neck and neck at five per cent and a shocking eight per cent of voters still don’t know who they’re going to choose.

No votes were cast in favour of the Communists or TUSC, which accurately predicts their chances of winning a seat in Westminster.

Not that it was ever in doubt but this shows us Northumbria is the most down-to-earth uni in the Toon — especially as the Newcastle poshos said the majority of them are voting for the Tories.

They can clearly relate more to the Barbour-clad politicians from the South.

Don’t forget to vote.
