Singles of the week: BA Hons Journalism

Can anybody find these somebody to love…

| UPDATED

February is a lonely month for some.

We’ve got you covered.

Meet eligible Journo bachelor, Chris Aeneas Chaperlin.

Currently in his third year (sign of dedication right there) and hailing from Bromley, South East Laandan, he’s a self-confessed relationship virgin. And he has a car.

Delivering the news and love

Why he’s single?

“I don’t fit any traditional stereotype of the ideal man. I do alright though. I like to think I’m a good listener but I’m pretty good at squeezing laughs from a crowd, too. I try to be nice to everyone.”

What are his thoughts on Valentine’s Day?

“I think Valentine’s is okay. The people that slag it off so much are usually just unhappy or jealous that other people have a day to share with someone. When the critics find that someone to spend valentines with, they’ll be just as soppy as all the other couples out.

“Spending loads of money on a fancy dinner, flowers and other things doesn’t make it a better experience for your significant other. Spend the day together, cook a nice dinner at home together or just lie in bed a put Netflix on.”

Favourite alcoholic drink?

“Brooklyn Lager, although I tried Coffee patron recently and it made me enjoy tequila for once.”

Starter or dessert?

“Starter. Definitely.”

But what’s his worst habit?

“I correct people all the time. If I think someone is wrong I’ll go out of my way to correct them even over the smallest thing. I always think I’m right. I’m not bad at conceding defeat, though.”

Ladies. YOU COULD BE THIS KOALA

Now we introduce you to Journalism student Linsey Michelle Lyons.

Hailing from Castlerock in Northern Ireland (and with a great accent) she’s into surfing and beer. Oh, and she could give any guy a run for his money in a Man-V-Food challenge.

Topnotch drinking skills boys

Why are you single?

“I’m just waiting for Beyoncé. No really, I don’t actually know. I guess I’m fussy or maybe I’m just really weird? I’ve never actually had a boyfriend before either.”

What’s your best and worst attributes?

“My best has got to be my eating skills. And my drinking skills. My worst… It’s probably randomly bursting out into song at any time of the day.”

Favourite alcoholic drink?

“Gin or whiskey. Or Cazcabel honey tequila – that stuff will change your life.”

What do you make of Valentine’s Day?

“I actually really like it. I know it’s a stupid money-making holiday but still… Any holiday that involves chocolate and flowers is fine by me.”

Starter or dessert?

“Oh – please, both.”

Can you play any instruments?

“Yeah! Guitar, piano, ukulele, and I can play a great Yankee Doodle on the recorder.”

Reckon you could beat her record?
