Three men arrested after sexual assault and break-in at Newcastle accomodation

The incident happened on Monday at Quay Point


Three men have been arrested following an alleged sexual assault and break-in at Quay Point student accommodation on the evening of Monday 2nd November.

The three men remain in custody at this time, under the suspicion of sexual assault.

Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 5.30 pm yesterday (Monday) we received a report of an assault inside a flat at Quay Point, Newcastle.

“It was reported that three men entered a flat before one of them sexually assaulted a woman by grabbing her bottom.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “It was reported that three men entered a flat before one of them sexually assaulted a woman by grabbing her bottom. They then left the scene shortly after.

“An investigation has been launched into the incident and the three men – agreed 19, 20 and 22 have been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault”

Quay Point, formerly known as Liberty Quay Studios, is private student accommodation at the Quayside and owned by Unite Students.
