The Five Swans Wetherspoon is closing for FOUR MONTHS

Tom WellesleyAs students settle in for another year of academic study, Spoons have made the shocking announcement that The Five Swans, loved by students, is to temporarily close on 21 October.
It will be closed for FOUR MONTHS and is set to re open on February 11th 2020.
In the meantime, a total refurbishment will be taking place, as well as an extension.
Punters can expect a new colour scheme, new carpets, polished timber floors, reupholstered furniture, and an additional 1,900 square feet of space!

The work, costing £1 million, will also result in an extended cellar and kitchen.
Pub manager, Leanne Surtees, told The Newcastle Tab that the works are set to make a massive improvement to the pub.
She said: "Myself and my team will look forward to welcoming customers back into The Five Swans, in February 2020, and we are confident that they will be impressed by the refurbishment and extension of the pub."
