There’s a new hummus cafe in the Newcastle SU and you really need to go
Everything involves hummus, it’s vegan and it’s bloody delicious
Izzy HallA new cafe has opened in the Students' Union and it's amazing. It's dreamy. Everything comes with hummus and it's also completely vegan.
Humpit have four cafes across the country already but this is the first time they've come to Newcastle. They've set up a takeaway cafe on the second floor of the SU and you NEED TO GO.

As well as hummus, there's a selection of pittas, chickpeas, falafel, pickles and salads.
You can get a delicious pitta from just £4.50 (and it kept me full for six whole hours) or even just a little hummus tub for £2.50. Plus they have a 'Hummus of the Week' every Wednesday.

So yes, trekking up to the second floor may be a bit of a faff, but it'll be so worth it when you see that hummus.
