It is hard to remember a time when we posted our photos without editing them. The addition of a filter has become a compulsory step in the posting process and your choice of filter can be a powerful tool in pushing an average photo to an amazing photo. So, what does your choice of filter reveal about you?

Valencia

You are a happy and positive person – the type of person that everyone needs on their Instagram. An optimist who frequently posts pictures of your dog, family and food with a few aspirational quotes thrown in for good measure. You are a precious type of person – someone who shows resilience despite all of life’s challenges and in this way, you are an Instagram angel.

Slumber

You are the classic (wannabe) indie – always aiming for those alternative vibes. You’re the type of person who tries too hard to find that edgy photo of a derelict building in the hope that someone will find it cool enough to give it a like. You post sporadically, leading to an air of mystery about your character and your Insta is a combination of edgy (meaning blurry and weird) photos and photos of you and your pals having a good time! For this reason, you have integrity. You’re groovy and content.

Black and White

Who knew there were three black and white filters? Aren’t they all the same? Anyway…you take things too seriously. Posting long captions about the humanitarian problems we face in today’s world, in the hope of raising awareness so you can label yourself as 'politically informed'. You’re an activist, you want to be the change that you want to see in the world. Your Instagram is immaculate and well-executed reflecting your passion and drive for everything you do. You have a vision for success and that’s an admirable quality.

Why? Why? Why? You don’t feel the need to use a filter, emphasising your confidence and the fact that you have nothing to prove to anyone. You post what you want, when you want. The whole concept of Instagram is a joke for you and your Instagram just confirms this as you’ve ended up with a random group of photos that depict some strange view of your life.
