Man dies after falling over in Perdu

It happened this weekend

A fourty-year-old clubber suffered critical head injuries after falling in the popular city centre club and was later pronounced dead.

At 2:43am on Saturday morning fellow revellers saw the man fall and called Paramedics to the scene.

He was taken to hospital but on Sunday evening, Northumbria Police confirmed that the man had died.

They said: “The man has sadly passed away and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

“Police are not in a position to name the man”.

Perdu is situated on Collingwood Street and claims to offer the best drinks, music and service as well as a “truly breathtaking environment”.

Officers investigating the incident are appealing for any witnesses, especially the two men who helped the man shortly after he fell.

Anyone who has any information or who saw the incident is asked to contact the Police on 101 quoting reference 169 20/02/16
