Someone is selling a bottle of Drummond puddle water for £66k on eBay

Ed HoweAn eBay listing for 600ml of water from Jesmond’s world famous puddle has attracted 30 bids totaling nearly £66,000.
The listing which is titled “Drummond PuddleWatch 600ml Water Bottle #drummondpuddlewatch” went up yesterday afternoon and ends in two days.
Since this one, there have been dozens of other bottles of puddle water for sale, but none have soared to such a high price.

The item description says: “This is a nearly full 600ml bottle of genuine Drummond Puddle Watch water from Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne. Own your piece of the worlds most famous puddle. Extremely rare.
“You cannot drink this water it’s for decorative purposes only. It would look beautiful displayed on on your mantelpiece.”

When asked if she thinks she’s actually going to get paid, the seller said: “I’d better get paid, already booked a first class world tour on my credit card, I leave for Milan in the morning!”
