Newcastle SU is running a Consent Workshop

S.H.A.G. week is back

A consent classcalled “I <3 Consent by Sexpression” will be taking place next Friday in the SU.

It will be run by Gender Equality Officer Lucy Neely Morgan and Sexpression activist Miles Jordan.

Part of S.H.A.G. (Sexual Health and Guidance) Week, the workshop will involve discussion of a range of topics relating to consent politics.

It will conclude with each attendant making a pledge, about how they can help create a better society, and particularly one that has wiped out sexual violence.

S.H.A.G. week is an annual event

The facebook event says: “We will be tackling a wave of topics relating to consent including what constitutes rape culture, victim blaming, slut shaming and many more that will not only supplement your existing knowledge of consent politics but give you the tools to help teach your friends, family and co-workers. “

Consent Workshop will be held in the Newcastle Student’s Union at 5:00 on Friday 30th October.
