This drunk woman fell into Leazes Lake and really can’t get out

It was supposed to be a quick afternoon dip in Leazes Park Lake.

So imagine this woman’s horror when she found herself boob-deep in water and unable to get out.

A video captures an audience of spectators gasping and giggling as the helpless woman splishes and splashes around in the muggy water.

Police were called to help out but instead joined other onlookers and watched things develop from the path.

At one point an onlooker shouts “Yeah, you’ve caught a big’n there, like” at a nearby fisherman.

Her morning walk went swimmingly

Nash Tackle claims Leazes Park Lake is great for “carp fishing in the North East”.

Now, it seems like it’s also great for catching one of the locals.

In the video one spectator shouts to a nearby fisherman: “Yeah, you’ve caught a big’n there, like.”

Trying to clamber out, the trollied swimmer groans: “I am trying… but you know when you’ve got fucking water on your body weight.”
