Heartbroken student writes ‘I’ve been dumped’ on Domino’s order, receives two phone numbers in pizza box

They gave her free wedges too

A heartbroken student who said she had been dumped when she ordered pizza got the surprise of her life when suave Domino’s staff left their numbers on the inside of her pizza box.

The two numbers were written next to “ready to mingle” on the lid of the New Yorker pizza box last week.

And the mysterious charmers also threw in some free wedges, and delivered the pizzas in twenty minutes.

Who says you have to get dressed up with heels and makeup to pull. Just send Domino’s a little note and you don’t have to move an inch… Get ya coat.

The Jesmond student wrote the heart-breaking confession in the additional information box on the online Domino’s order.

They wrote “hungry gal has been dumped”.

After waiting only 20 minutes instead of 45 for the delivery, the student answered the door heartbroken.

But when the housemates opened the pizza box they realised the free wedges were not the only surprise Domino’s had in store for the “dumped gal”.

One of the unlucky-in-love ladies told The Tab: “The deliveryman handed me the pizza with an understanding, pitiful smile.

“I sniffled. I took the pizza. I closed the door with a sorrowful half smile and immediately shouted in victory of the free wedges.”

Two numbers were written inside the pizza box with a note that read “ready to mingle.”

“These guys may not have any romantic prospects at our house but they indeed kept us amused” said one housemate.

Love at first bite

And when the girls text the number, someone replied: “I was gunna draw a rose on the box.”

But this wasn’t the first time they reeled in the freebies. A few weeks ago they ordered a Domino’s with the note “hungover chicas” which sped the delivery up a whole 30 minutes.
