The Northumbria Snowsports team managed to capture one of their group gracefully running into a lamp post on the Diamond Strip, following a pub golf session on Osbourne Road.
Adam Dawkins, 23, club promoter and recent Business and Management grad of Northumbria who filmed the collision.
He said: “A mate of mine gave me this selfie stick and we started using it on the night out.
“It’s such great value, we taped our night and looking back it’s so funny.
“When my housemate Kieran hit the lamp post I found it hilarious, the camera was facing back so I knew it was caught on film.”
Hungover Kieran, 22, said: “It didn’t hurt, not really. I did bang my knee against the post and that’s agony now.
“I was so steaming at the time I didn’t feel a thing.
“I don’t really get embarrassed so that was OK.
“We played a game of pub golf and sank every hole in one. Out of ten, my hangover this morning was 47.”
