Failed medical student WILL have to cover £90k legal costs

Ex-medic Paul Crawford student will have to hand over the cash despite desperate bankcruptcy plea

The student who tried to sue Newcastle Uni after he failed his medicine degree by one mark WILL have to cover the £90 grand legal costs of the case.

Love him, hate him, or don’t even care, Newcastle’s most famous failed student is back with the latest development in the Pauly C saga.

Poor Pauly C’s latest debarcle

The former Newcastle medicine student who failed his degree and begged Newcastle courts to dissolve his £90k legal fees after trying to sue his lecturers has failed – again.

In March the doomed wannabe-doctor begged Newcastle University and courts to drop his £90k legal fees after failing his degree twice.

And it’s yet another casualty for poor Pauly as he’ll have to cough up even more than the original £90k – the fees have since been upped to a staggering £100,000.

Paul Crawford who has now fled to Australia -maybe to try his hand at becoming a pro surfer instead- faces yet another blow in this tragic tale.

Newcastle Uni said it was “pleased with the court’s descision”

Crawford begged the University “please don’t bankrupt me” after racking up over £6,500 worth of credit card debts.

Deputy Judge Andrew Grubb gave the go ahead to charge Crawford for his legal bills after he attempted to sue the Uni.

Crawford failed his final year twice for breaching patient confidentiality and failing an exam by one mark.

Crawford later retracted his attempt to sue Newcastle University stating “it was a momentary lapse of judgement.”

The scene of the action

The courts have ruled that Crawford’s personal circumstances with the University “should make no difference to the outcome of paying the costs.”
