Music to your ears: spotify campaign for students

One stop shop for Newcastle music lovers


It’s the thing which divides Newcastle students the most – music taste.

But one group of students are bidding to solve that problem and launch a set of playlists for everyone.

4th year Spanish and Business student, Jacob Weber has teamed up with Spotify to compile a list of Newcastle students’ favourite tracks.

The team then split them into playlists for different situations like, getting boozy, the morning after the night before and the occasional library session.

Spotify will also hold competitions each week, including the chance to win a 55″ LG 3D TV home cinema.

Jacob said “the idea of the campaign is to get everyone sharing their favourite tunes as well as discovering new ones, and using the free Spotify service to keep it all in one accessible and portable place – no more sketchy youtube videos or itunes disputes!”
