Jason’s parents have been in Newcastle handing out flyers with Jason’s picture and hoping to gain information as to his whereabouts.

His Aunt Wendy released a plea earlier on today, stating:

“We just want him back so we can give him a hug. His parents are besides themselves with worry, they are absolutely distraught. They are keeping as much hope as they can but the worry is making them ill. They need him back. We just need to know where he is. There’s such a big piece missing from the family.”

His family understood that Jason was settling into student life well, and he kept regular contact with them.

They last spoke to him on Wednesday when they made plans to attend the Yorkshire Show together, as they did every year.

Wendy said “He said he wanted a ticket and was in good spirits. There was absolutely nothing unusual in that phone-call.”

The evening that Jason disappeared began with a night out in the city centre. After getting separated from the group he was out with Jason paid a visit to his friend Sean Peacock in Sandyford.

Sean offered him a bed for the night, but Jason refused and left.

Just before 3am Jason posted on Twitter: “I find it really sad that everyone that I tried to get help. From just. Turned. Their. Back.”

Laura Wadkin who lives with Jason at Bowsden Court tweeted him “Are you okay? We are getting worried!” but received no response.

Jason was then reported missing by his friends and his parents were contacted by the police.

His brother and sister posted links to the Facebook page on various forms of social media.

Wendy said that “His dad received a phonecall on Friday evening from Northumbria Police to say his friends had reported him missing.

“Immediately after that all the family tried his mobile constantly but it wasn’t switched on and nobody has seen or heard from him since.”

Jason’s loved ones cannot think of any reason for Jason to go missing. Wendy added: “Jason is a quiet, reserved lad, but he has a very happy disposition. He’s just a really nice kid. He’s very academic, he had big plans for the future.”

“It’s the most out of character thing you could imagine from him. He is the youngest of three children and very very close to his mum.”

One heartfelt plea on Tumblr read:

“This guy is my friend. This is about helping him, not doing me a favour. Help to find my friend Jason. You want me to make him human to you?

Once we all grew beans in pots as part of a Biology experiment- the experiment failed miserably and made the whole lab stink, but his was the only bean that grew and he was actually pretty proud about it.

He learned to knit as part of a school project where he had to learn a creative skill, and when a couple of people teased him about it he said “gender is a social construct” and carried on knitting like a badass.

He loves the scene in The Great Gatsby where Gatsby throws all his silk shirts around and he and I used to giggle over it together. Once I asked him if he had a string of tinsel I could use in a photoshoot and he brought me a big cardboard box full of tinsel and fairy lights because he’s a helpful and lovely guy

He’s HUMAN and he needs our HELP and just PLEASE PLEASE FUCKING REBLOG THIS??? He’s been missing for four days now- when he went missing he would have been wearing his contact lenses and he won’t have had his (very thick) glasses with him so by now he’ll have had to take his contacts out and throw them away and he won’t be able to see well and oh God just please signal boost this”

Please, if you have any information at all then call 101 and ask for Northumbria police.
