That Cher

If we could turn back time, if we could find a way (to embarrass ourselves less.)

| UPDATED nowthatchersdead

So Thatcher’s dead and it’s a shame. Regardless of what she did and how little some of us agree with it when it came to the end she was a very sick old lady.

She’s a person, she’s dead, and that’s terrible but we can all find solace in the mass confusion caused by the hashtag #nowthatchersdead. Fans believed that it read ‘now that Cher’s dead’.

The hashtag was started on http://isthatcherdeadyet.co.uk/ and has been upsetting Cher fans all day.

Just in case you didn’t notice.

The misguided well wishes to Cher about life after love are still continuing now, despite many users trying to reassure the desperate fans who have flooded @Cher with posts asking if she’s alive or not (an interesting tactic…)

She’d probably be really happy with her ex husband… yeah.

Though it is obviously a sad day for her family the death has ensured that in another dimension Rik from The Young Ones is writing some beautiful poetry.

Tweet of the day.

It’s hard to decide who’s worse, the Cher-mourners or the ones who just don’t know who Thatcher is…

Answers on the back of a postcard.

Rest in peace Baroness Thatcher.
