Man found ‘slumped’ pronounced dead in hospital

The body of a 20-year-old man was found under the Byker bridge following Halloween celebrations hit Newcastle.

Police were called to the scene at Lime Street following reports of a man seen slumped and unconscious under the bridge.

The man, who has not been named, was rushed to the RVI Hospital but was pronounced dead at 5.30am, 1st November.

The cause of death is unknown at this stage. The situation surrounding the case is still unclear. A Northumbria Police spokesman told The Tab, “our enquiries are currently ongoing”
