Women in Media conference coming to Manchester this week

The conference is run by UoM students and supports charities MASH and Care4Calais

This week there will be the Women in Media Conference taking place.

The conference will be online during the week and in-person over the weekend, held in the Students’ Union. This will be the seventh year of the conference being held in Manchester.

The conference is organised entirely by students from the University of Manchester.

The conference was founded by students in 2016 and is now held in multiple universities across the UK. The conference is not-for-profit, supporting the charities MASH, for homeless women, and Care4Calais, a crisis charity for refugees.

The conference will take place across the week, 21st to 27th March.

The schedule has just been released, including Maxine Peake, Jess Kohl, and a Zine workshop by Disgraceful Magazine:

Tuesday afternoon and evening have been left free so attendees and organisers can go to the Reclaim the Night march.

Tickets are £7 for single in-person events, £10 for online only and £15 for online and in-person, and can be bought here.
