BREAKING: Curry Mile cordoned off following police incident on 142 Magic Bus

The incident is the second to occur in Manchester this week

There have been reports of a stabbing on the 142 Magic Bus on Wilmslow Road which is thought to have occured at approximately 4pm this evening.

The story was broken by the Manchester Evening News shortly after and describes how police 'rushed to the scene' and 'evacuated the bus' before sectioning off the street. It has now been understood that the road has been reopened.

Eyewitnesses described how 'men in balaclavas got on with a knife' resulting in people 'running off of the bus.'

The GMP released a statement indicating that a 17 year old boy had been stabbed and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. They are treating this as an isolated incident.
