Gaff’s has been replaced by a vegan pizzeria and we are losing our shit

In a world of such uncertainty this is a step too far

For years Gaff's has stood as the pride and joy of Fallowfield. Though not the most inviting looking establishment, we all know it's what's on the inside that counts and what's inside is a wonderful world of banter, a haven at 3am when you're getting in from a night out and can hardly stand straight.

But alas it seems all good things must come to an end as this pillar of the student community has undergone a major revamp, transforming into Garden of Vegan, a takeaway and delivery service, offering (presumably vegan) pizza and desserts.

Now, that's all well and good but we don't need another takeaway along a stretch of road that, amongst others, is already home to Chesters, Kebab King and Dominos. We need Gaff's, a space in the side of the wall that can barely be called a shop, selling questionable substances and producing Facebook statuses worthy of a literary prize.

We spoke to owner, Simon Smith, about the future of our beloved store. He said, "Gaff's is simply diversifying" and assured us, "it will be back".

And with that we can only hope that they're just putting an organic spin on Fallowfield's favourite corner shop.
